//u are running 340 nvidia drivers could u upgrade to newest?

according to that specification: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/troubleshooting/gpu/index.html
i think for your GPU it should be 390.. and u should be fine after that upgrade.

u can write in this task : https:developer.blender.org/T71576

//never mind u have newest drivers for your gpu

@MaciejJutrzenka, the latest driver for this card is 340 as already used here, not 390.

I suppose it is not a problem of the driver because up to Blender version blender 2.80-8 everything works fine.
Only from blender-17:2.81-1 I have this trouble.

@jufu problem is of the legacy drivers the 340 is very old.. and something is not working because of that driver... However if u can become active in this bug tracker, and talk with devs and test diffrent blender builds we would provide maybe we can find the fix

@fclem we have active user! with 340!
