System Information
Operating system: Darwin-17.2.0-x86_64-i386-64bit 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OpenGL Engine NVIDIA Corporation 4.1 NVIDIA-10.27.6 378.10.10.10.20.109

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.82 (sub 5), branch: master, commit date: 2019-12-12 07:39, hash: 132a932ef2
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
When I type in the search menu (the popup menu), and press the arrow keys, it does not let me walk the menu but instead enter a weird non existent key icon.
This is only happening with the pop up search menu shown in the video.
(ie F3 and Shift A in animation nodes)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Press f3, then try to walk the menu with the down arrow.

Hi, thanks for report.

I could not reproduce on my local build or 2.81 on linux. Probably mac keyboard issue.

I search for other reports, maybe related to this: #67924

Hi @AnthonyEdlin, thanks for having a look into it.
It seems similar but not quite the same as https://developer.blender.org/T67924

I can press G and then nudge an object in the viewport with the arrow keys.

Just for further information...
And I am using a logitech K120 keyboard (not a mac brand one)

I have noticed this issue in the master build from just a few days ago.

It works fine in:

  • 2.80 (official)
  • 2.81 (offical)
  • 2.81a (offical)

Just not the master branch.

It's probably not related then.

Just wanted to confirm i.e. report that I see the same behaviour on two Macs. I was trying out 2.82 Alpha (build 2019-12-18, da6929488a). Tried Windows (10) too, it's ok there.
