Goes black when rendering #73679

CPU: Intel Core i7-9700k CPU @ 3.60GHz

Blender Version
Broken: (example: 2.80, edbf15d3c0, master, 2018-11-28, as found on the splash screen)
Worked: last night (2-7-20)

Short description of error
Well I and not 100% sure if this is a bug or not but when I press render it looks as of it is going to render but when it is done it goes black.

Can confirm, Eevee and Workbench cause the black screen, after a momentary render image. Cycles renders it (reduced samples to 4 for quick render) but displays the same black screen in the end as the other two. But don't take my word for it, there might simply be a wrong setting causing this.

Thanks for the report.

I noticed that the combined pass under view layers displayed the doughnut and only the composite was black. Checked the compositor and found that the Render Layers node was not connected to the Composite node.

After connecting them together, everything showed up as it should.

@ankitm #73655 might appear to be related due to similar titles, but that doesn't mean that they are caused by the same issue. The descriptions are also different. In #73655, only the first render is completely black after starting Blender. Subsequent renders are fine. Also the issue doesn't appear in 2.83, only 2.82. Merging a task as a duplicate is done for reports that have the same cause, not just similar titles. =)
