System Information
Operating system: Windows 7 Pro
Graphics card: Nvidia gtx 980

Blender Version
Broken: (example: 2.80, edbf15d3c0, master, 2018-11-28, as found on the splash screen)
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
Blender 2.82a, 2.83 beta, 2,9 alpha

Short description of error
Grease Pencil Fill Tool overrides parts of the strokes.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Every time, I try to use the fill tool in Grease Pencil, the fill overlapped the half of the strokes.
Maybe it's my mistake, but if not, it would be nice if the fillings were only visible within the lines and didn't take a half of the thickness away.
Thank you
I adore Blenders Grease Pencil.
Ralf

Oh man oh man – now I see, that it is simple possible to bring strokes and fills to front or back. I was blind.
Sorry for this.

But – perhaps it would be nice, if fills would are automatically in the back? Then we would have fewer work for selection and arrangement of strokes and fills.

Best greetings
Ralf

By design the stroke limit is considered the "center" of the stroke, so the fill is done to get this center.

Hi, thank you for your answer.
Yes, I saw that the filling extends to the center of the surrounding stroke. But that's usually not what I want to achieve with a filling, I think. Many people put color layers behind contour layers. I find it helpful to be able to bring fillings or lines into the foreground or background. But the path seems awkward to me. Would it be nice to have a preset / option / button to put fillings behind lines in principle?
