Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 451.67
Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.91.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2020-08-20 18:28, hash:
ce0bcd5fbf
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
Short description of error
Gizmos from the Toolbar wont react (Edit and Object mode).
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]

Not 100% sure if it is in todays build, but should be in the next available then
https://builder.blender.org/download/
Will close as resolved, but feel free to comment again if issues persist in a fresh build
@lichtwerk with a fresh pulled build right now(built time: 12:38) the issue still persists
Cannot reproduce in
41d31e100d
@Jewls : which build hash are you testing? [

Thx getting back.
@fclem: could there still be a problem on Windows? (certain setups?)
Like I said, it seems to be fine here
Can you reproduce using factory-startup? Can you reproduce using the buildbot version?
Added subscriber: @CobraA
same here with the latest buildbot, previous issue of gizmos locking is fixed but now you can't interact with the axes.

Here on WIN10 latest Blender nightly build, the gizmo works again (it didn't yesterday). You can transform when when you click on the red green blue helpers. But gimbal rotation is no longer recognized...

@fclem
on the desktop
b'3bc09c1c1ec9' doesnt work with factory settings.
And b'ce0bcd5fbf40' (buildbot) wont work either.
2020-08-21 22-13-13.mp4
but on the laptop b'ce0bcd5fbf40' works well

Now its solved
Thanks for your effort @fclem

Not entirely. The Gimbal still isn't working for the rotation tool (see my previous post)...
This is how it worked in 2.83.5:

Even if it has been miraculously managed transforming to work, in overall Blender has huge performance impact. The transform lags :)

There seems to be a discrepency between windows and linux on this side. For gizmos, selection try to use the window backbuffer. On Windows, this one has a depth buffer attached to it. But on linux it seems to not have any depth attached. This might change the selection behavior.
@ideasman42 honestly, I would change this and ensure the caller always sets a correct framebuffer for selection (not the backbuffer).
