System Information
Operating system: macOS Big Sur - Macbook Pro 15 2015-mid - Core i7.
Graphics card: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

Blender Version
Broken: 2.90 0330d1af29 2020-08-31 11:26 Master

Fluid simulation doesn't work if domain is in larger than 64x64x64m .

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Does work

  • Create a new file

  • Create a cube if deleted the default one. (Its current dimension are 2x2x2m) let's call it Small Cube

  • Don't scale it or do anything with it, Just press Shift+D (Duplicate it)

  • Scale the second cube, almost 10x (dimension are 20x20x20m) - let's call it Large Cube

  • Large Cube is selected -> Physics Properties -> Fluid -> (type: Domain) + (Domain Type: Liquid) + (Cache -> type: Modular)

  • Select the Small Cube -> Physics Properties -> Fluid -> (type: Flow) + (Flow Type: Liquid) + (Flow Behavior: Inflow).

  • Select Large Cube and hit -> Physics Properties -> Bake Date

  • It does simulate water.

  • Doesn't Work

  • Same set as above

  • Select the Large Cube and Scale it almost 32x (dimension are 64x64x64m)

  • Select the Large Cube and hit -> Physics Properties -> Bake Date

  • It does not simulate water.

  • Does Work

  • Select the Large Cube and Scale it almost 31x (dimension are 62x62x62m)

  • Select the Large Cube and hit -> Physics Properties -> Bake Date

  • It does simulate water.

TIP: You can also scaleup the particle size ... in Particle Properties -> Liquid -> (Viewport Display) size

Please find the attached fluid_issue.blend file. and simulate 3 different Fluid Setups with three scales 20x20x20m (Working) / 62x62x62m (Working) / 64x64x64m (Not working)

I'm sorry.. Please ignore this bug or issue. This was my fault.... the resolution division were limited to 32... I raised that and it started simulating now.
