Cannot reproduce here

I think there were recent changes for Addons using BGL (these might be related), see

@arch3r: just to make sure - are you aware of a previous build/version that still worked?

@lichtwerk I just repeated the same steps on 2.83 and 2.90 and both crashed same as 2.91 on the same machine.

@lichtwerk and my apologies I didn't answer your question. Archipack worked on at least 2.83 and 2.90 on this machine under Ubuntu 20.04. Since switching to Ubuntu 20.10 on this machine, enabling Archipack has been my only issue.

Since #81607 (Crash selecting the included addon Snap Utilities Line) was also reported, could you check again if todays build also fails?

I'm having the same problem and I think I can add some information.

System Information
PopOS 20.10
Graphics card: Mesa Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 - Mesa 20.2.1 / GeForce GTX 1060 Mobile - Nvidia 455.38

Blender Version
2.91 release

The same crash happens when launching Blender with the Intel card and activating archipack (the free bundled version), archipack pro or the screencast keys addon.(https://github.com/nutti/Screencast-Keys)

If Blender is launched with the nvidia card it doesn't crash.

Hello guys. Same problem here and I think you can narrow it to UBUNTU.
It does not happen on Ubuntu 20.04. No problem on Arch and Fedora.
But it happens from Ubuntu (and PopOs) 20.10, and I just tried now on 21.04 same bug (it also happens on Wayland or Xorg).

I tried it on my Laptop (Intel m3 with HD615 graphic card) and my Desktop (AMD Ryzen + AMD RX 560 graphic card).
Same bug on both systems. So it might not be hardware related, but a system bug ?

NOTE : I have this bug with the BLENDERCAM ADDON, so it seems not related to ARCHIPACK only.

System Information
PopOS and Ubuntu 20.10 and 21.04
Graphics card: AMD RX 560 (and laptop with Intel HD615)

Blender Version
2.92

You can reproduce the bug by trying to activate th Blendercam addon (checking the box in the addon menu).
It crashes blender, and after restart the addon is not activated.

NOTE2 : It does not happen when you start Blender-SOFTWAREGL, no bug in softwaregl !

Thank you to all Blender Devs for Blender.

EDIT :
Here is a post from ad1217 (blendercam aur maintainer) he also encountered the issue :
https://github.com/vilemduha/blendercam/issues/181#issuecomment-811235354

In a fresh Ubuntu 20.10 VM, Blender crashes when attempting to enable blendercam with Aborted (core dumped), but no other helpful information (even with --debug-all). When running ./blender-softwaregl, however, enabling works fine. If blendercam is enabled in software GL mode, normal ./blender will crash on startup.
