System Information
Operating system: W10 pro latest update
Graphics card: RX480 8G, 20.2.2 driver version
Blender Version
Broken: blender-2.92.0-4797c13e8f3a-windows64
Worked: 2.83.10
Worked: 2.91
Split Kernel Error: failed to load kernel_path_init when entering rendered view
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Start up Blender, turn on OpenCL through settings, turn on GPU when rendering with cycles
Cycles doesn't load and gives the prompt: Split Kernel Error: failed to load kernel_path_init when entering rendered view
Blender freezes, buttons are clickable but you cannot change render views, then windows tells that blender.exe is not responding and asks if you want to close it.
System console results:
blender-2.83.10
blender-2.92.0-4797c13e8f3a-windows64
blender-2.91

The OpenGL shader error looks very similar to #83272. Could you please install the graphics driver version 20.11.1 and check if this resolves the problem?
blender_debug_output.txt
It did not solve the problem at all unfortunately on the 2.92 build listed above.
blender_debug_output.txt
It stopped working on 2.91 even after installing this driver.
@Hannah-Umit Could you please save your system information through Help > Save System Info and upload the files, if this works on your system?
system-info.txt Here is my system info file from a fresh 2.91 build.
@Hannah-Umit Just to rule out a potential cause, could you make sure that
C:\Users\Hannah\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.91\cache\kernels
is empty and if not delete the content.I tried that before, here is another attempt at doing it

Apologies, I didn't know you've already checked this. I will try to look into this tomorrow. The
GL_ARB_conservative_depth
is listed as supported extension, so I'm not sure why this fails. This might be something the GPU devs have to take a closer look at.This currently looks like two issues, one with OpenCL kernels and one with OpenGL shaders.
Changed status from 'Needs User Info' to: 'Needs Triage'
Users report similar issues in #83130. I couldn't find an obvious cause, the Render & Cycles module has to take this from here.
blender.crash.txt
after clicking CTRL+C inside my system console I started to get a prompt on that it was compiling things.
blender-2.92.0-e09d0c0d077c-windows64
By clicking CTRL+C it did somehow work on 2.91 though.
My system console results.

FYI @rjg, although it says it supports that extension, it appears that it actually doesn’t.
See https:*community.amd.com/t5/opengl-vulkan/bug-report-quot-gl-arb-conservative-depth-quot-is-not-supported/td-p/237469 and https:*developer.blender.org/T83272#1066017

@EAW You're right. It's strange though that this happens with a driver and graphics cards that seems to work for other people as far as I can tell.
@Jeroen-Bakker I might be missing something obvious here, but I was under the impression that this works properly with current graphics drivers. If this hardware still reports the extension incorrectly, then this would of course explain why the shader compilation fails. The split kernel issue seems to be a separate problem though.
There are more people with the similar issues in #83130.
