System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19041-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce RTX 3090/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 460.89 (studio or game drivers)

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.92.0 Alpha (Date = 2020-12-14 15:44) (Hash = 010f44b855) (Branch = Master)
Worked: 2.92 Alpha --- (Date: 2020-12-07 22:51) --- (Hash = ab9952e55f) --- (Branch = Master)

Short description of error
In the main top navigation bar when clicking window/help blender crashes to desktop.
OR
When rendering a default cube with any render setup and clicking save image blender crashes to desktop.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Open blender 2.92 build from 28th Dec 2020
  2. Press F12 to render default cube
  3. Click image in render window to save image
  4. Blender hard crashes to desktop

If this bug is not a regression then it might have started happening after I installed the latest windows update.

Start /run/winver
Windows Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.685) (Why does blenders windows version differ from when I get it using start/run/winver) ?

Or could be related to the RTX 3090 I just installed.

Could you please check if this is still crashing in the latest daily build ?

If yes, then please open Blender's installation directory and double click on the blender_debug_gpu.cmd. This will start Blender in debug mode and create log files. Try to make Blender crash again. Once it crashes the Windows Explorer should open and show you up to two files, a debug log and the system information. Add them to your bug report by clicking on the upload button as shown in the screenshot below or via drag and drop. Please also upload the crash log located in C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\Temp\[project name].crash.txt (or simply type %TEMP% into the path bar of the Windows Explorer).

I narrowed down the problem.
I am fairly certain now that the problem is the blender cloud add on.
I removed blender cloud from the add ons and no longer experience any crashes when trying to save an image or navigate into any of the top menu dropdowns like menu or help.

Yes the build from yesterday seems to have fixed the problem and the blender cloud add on can also now be enabled without crashing blender. All looks good.
Thanks for your help.

I'm closing this as resolved then. The problem you've had was likely the same as #83776.
