Blending Vertex Color when baking to it on UV seams (Bug or missing feature) #84663

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.92.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2021-01-13 00:18, hash: 719bea0d6d
Worked: The last time we had bake to vertex color - 2.79

Short description of error
One of the most useful features of 2.79 bake to vetex color is missing/broken - not blending colors when baking from texture on UV seams
Here's the example in 2.79:

In both screens viewport shows baked Vertex Color

Thank you for updating the report. Could you share the .blend file used in the screenshot as well? You can just drag & drop it into the textbox when editing the task.

Can confirm the difference between 2.7 and 2.92.

Looks like this is close to a "Known Limitation" atm., found this comment from 2221389d6e:

/* Byte loop colors in sRGB colors space.
 *
 * Note that colors have been baked per vertex and not per corner, which
 * could be useful to preserve material discontinuities. However this also
 * leads to unintended discontinuities due to sampling noise. */

So this might indeed be a missing feature (also unsure if this justifies adding an option for this?)
The Render & Cycles module will have to classify.
