Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.93.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2021-03-05 06:10, hash: b5d154f400
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
Blender 2.91

Short description of error
There is a glitch in the selection of vertices and edges in Edit Mode which is very annoying.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
It is something that happens often. Take a sphere for example, and enter Edit Mode. Start by selecting one loop of edges, using the Alt key and clicking on an edge. Often you have to click twice in order to select (the first click does nothing, the second click performs the selection. Then try to add to the selection other loops of edges by pressing Shift + Alt, and clicking on the other edges. The selection works as expected a few times until, again, it does nothing and you have to click it again. Sometimes, in order to reproduce this bug you have to stop selecting, rotate the view and then start selecting again. I am working on a retopology and this happens a lot of times, and is very annoying. It did not happen on older versions of Blender.

I have had similar "issues" with pie-menu on drag sometimes last week (but did not have enough time to investigate)
@ideasman42 made some changes to WindowManager event handling during this time, maybe this has caused some of it? (just a shot in the dark)

However, these seem to have disappeared (atm, I cannot reproduce them anymore)
Could you check if this is still an issue with a fresh 2.93 build from https://builder.blender.org/download/?

I downloaded a fresh 2.93 build and it still happens. Normally it happens I think after rotating the view a little to keep selecting. Is a little tricky to reproduce, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. It looks like is easier to reproduce when selecting loops of edges.

There has been another fix for this today, see 09a8f5ebca, so please give tomorrows build a chance.

Ok, tomorrow I will test it again. I also want to add an issue which I think it may be related to this: When creating vertices by pressing Ctrl and right clicking, sometimes you have to right click twice because with the first one it does nothing.

I downloaded another build of Blender 2.93 today and it looks like the problem is solved. Thank you!
