System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19041-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce RTX 3090/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 461.92
Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.92.0, branch: master, commit date: 2021-02-24 16:25, hash:
02948a2cab
Worked: 2.91.0
Short description of error
When changing visibility of objects the viewport will not render in Optix anymore and give out an error:
Only a complete restart of blender will help to reset so you can render again. Even switching from Cycles to Eevee will not resolve the problem. This will only occur with Optix renderer. Setting the render engine to CUDA will work without a problem while hiding/changing objects and materials to be rendered.
With an AMD5950x, 3090 and 64GB ram, this simple scene should work without a problem. All drivers are also up to date.
Going back to 2.91.0 the same file with the same steps will work flawlessly.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Seems to be a duplicate of #86864 (Error: Illegal address in cuMemcpyDtoH( (char *)mem.host_pointer + offset, (CUdeviceptr)mem.device_pointer + offset, size) (device_cuda_impl.cpp:1038)CUDA_ERROR_ILLEGAL_ADDRESS in cuStreamSynchronize(0) (device_optix.cpp:1069))

I'm getting the same error and I don't use any denoiser.
RTX3090
Yeah, can confirm that. Doesn't matter if with or without denoiser, still same error. Set to CUDA, everything is fine but when set the render engine to Optix, it crashes.

Can reproduce this on todays 2.93 experimental build when trying to hide all three glass jars.
Same setup, but I run a RTX 2070 Super.

Thanks for the report. Probably this has been resolved already on newest versions: #87793 (OptiX driver crashes when hiding/showing objects in rendered view)
Please check again on recent builds: https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/
(Sorry, it took long to check your report)
Can confirm, it's working just fine on blender-3.0.1-candidate+v30 . 63b9 e5378b81
Thanks for the update. I will close this report.
