Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.93.0 Beta, branch: master, commit date: 2021-05-18 09:58, hash:
aa06be9148
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
Short description of error
Blender does not see my GPU in 2.93 and 3.0 and 3.0 Cycles X build.
When I check 2.92, it does show my GPU. Here is a screenshot of 2.93 and 2.92 preferences open to show the difference in GPU.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
[Please describe the exact steps needed to reproduce the issue]
[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]

I checked an older version of 2.93 from May 04 and that one DOES show my GPU still. The exact version is 2.93.0 Beta, branch: master, commit date: 2021-05-04 20:58, hash:

I am having the exact same issue with my GTX 1070. Same builds, with the same solution. But!, I did render out an animation this morning using the 5/18 release of Cycles X. It was incredible how quickly it was rendering each frame even compared to Google's colab. I was running a test. So, my question is... Did Microsoft or Nvidia change something, in the background? Why would the same Blender version work for half the day only to crap out that night?
Gremlins?
I downloaded 2.93, 3.0 alpha and 3.0 cycles X on May 18 . All the May 18th versions never worked for me. I tried updated my video driver to see if that would fix. Same issue. No GPU found.
It was an older build from May 4th of 2.93 that is working for me, not the May 18th builds.
I can't wait to try Cycles X out though. I am glad it is working well for you!

Hi, same thing here on last 2.93 and 3.0 releases (05/18) on a 2080rtx (previous versions of both showed available optix and cuda options).

Currently we're not accepting any bug reports related to Cycles-X branch on tracker.

I have verified on master and cycles-x branches that Cuda and Optix are detected on Windows and Linux.
We switched to new buildbot as of Tuesday 18th 18:00 CET.
v293 also detects Cuda and Optix
hi, this report is well related to the beta 2.93 and alpha 3.0 master branch not Cycles-X branch ....
I assume author is facing the issue on cycles-x branch (referring to the short description of the report). Wrong call from my side.
Changed status from 'Needs Triage' to: 'Confirmed'
With new pipeline install step needs GPU option.
Started builds on master, v293 and cycles-x branches.

This should be resolved now.

How to resolve it?
@osg1935 , update blender to recent the build . Refer: https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/
I downloaded the build today (May 20th)
Now the GPU detects it.
However, there is another problem and it stops right here.
(Infinite loading renders the kernel.) omg.......
I'll have to wait for another build... Haha thx!
You could report this separately, this seems to be yet another issue
