System Information
Operating system: Windows 10 Build 19043
Graphics card: Nvidia RTX 3090

Blender Version
Broken: 2.92
Worked: Can't remember, but I don't recall this happening before

Short description of error
Undo makes completed renders disappear from other slots in the View Render window. Some of them are preserved, but the more you undo, the more disappear from other slots.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Load default scene (with the cube)
  2. Render scene
  3. Go to the cube's shader and change its base color
  4. Switch to next unoccupied slot in the View Render window
  5. Render scene
  6. (optional) Repeat steps 3-5 as many times as you like
  7. Go to View Render window and scroll through slots to verify all renders are there (with J key)
  8. Activate undo (ctrl+z)
  9. Go to View Render window and scroll through slots. Some will be missing.
  10. Activate undo again and more will be missing.

This doesn't seem like intended behavior, and I've replicated this issue on a different machine. Hope this helps!

Edit: I've replicated this issue in 2.91, 2.90 and the latest LTS release. I assume intended behavior is for undo to change the shaders back, but for renders you've completed to remain in their slots.

This would certainly be desired behavior.

Not sure if this would really classify as a bug or if this could somehow still be tracked here as TODO, Core module has to decide.
