Short description of error
0001-1215.mp4
A simple scene. A cube with a particle system. A total of 1000 particles. Blender crashes during animation rendering if Motion Blur and Persistent Data are enabled.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Persistent_Data.blend
Motion Blur and Persistent Data must be enabled.

Somewhat similar to #89040 (Cycles renders only two frames of animation) But can't comment because it works fine on my machine for 3.0.0(

Doesn't crash on my Mac. However, I noticed the Output Path is set to
//
. Maybe Blender crashes, because it tries to save the frame to an illegal output location?Weird this is that changing this path doesn't really seem to work. When I select a different location, the input field keeps showing
//
. This might even be a new bug...@Zandman, already there is a report on tracker. I confirmed that ticket but now I couldn't find it :p

I was also not able to reproduce the crash on 2 different setups here. It rendered out all 5 frames from the provided .blend file without issue. I double checked that Motion Blur and Persistent data were both enabled.

Report looks similar to the one fixed before #87283 (2.93 motion blur breaks persistent data)
May be problem reappeared with intermediate commit.

I also cannot reproduce this with either the latest stable or current development versions of Blender:
Please try the latest daily build: https://builder.blender.org/download/
Go to File → Defaults → Load Factory Settings and then load your file to see if you still can reproduce this issue.
Also test by changing the
Output Path
as mentioned in previous comments.If the problem persists, please give us more clear instructions on how to reproduce it from scratch.
