Texture painting: Brush and fill miss some pixels. #90841

Short description of error
Finally I can reproduce this bug each time (and it annoys me every time I work with characters).
Tere is file with example: fill testblend.blend
Try to fill selection
Operation will leave randomly scattered pixels.

You can overpaint some of them, but another few pixels you can`t overpaint or you can only from specific camera angle.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Make lowpoly.
Unwrap to few islands.
Add Multiresolution (4-5 levels)
Add black texture (4k)
Select some islands in edit mode
Go to texture paint mode, enable paint mask
Fill with white
Inspect result, you will find missed pixels

From #95663: this is also true for orthographic view (if zoomed in far enough):

  • brushes wont paint pixels at all
  • fill tool will leave black pixels

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open .blend file
  • Use fill tool on object in 3DView (will leave black pixels) or
  • Use paint brush (wont paint pixels at all)

I think in this case we can merge the other way around (since this report is a bit more general -- covers the mis for brushes as well).
