In shading preview mode with eevee, change viewport size, then crash
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
1.Open the attached .blend file
2.Goto Shading workspace
3.Change shading mode to

4.Try to change viewport size by drag the horizon bar between
3D View
andMaterial View

Cannot repro here, assume this is a Mac/Intel thing.

Just trying to narrow this down:
@jjm2473 : could you check if this was a problem in previous versions also? (e.g. 2.83?) https://download.blender.org/release/

Can confirm this on Mac with 3.0 alpha (Operating system: macOS-11.5.2-x86_64-i386-64bit 64 Bits, version: 3.0.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2021-08-23 15:09, hash:

When I force the use of the intel graphics, I can reproduce the crash as described, sometimes it even crashes directly when switching to rendered view.
When using the Radeon the crash does not happen; however then it does crash consistently when I render with F12.
In 2.83.13 none of these crashes occur.
