System Information
Operating system: macOS 11.6.1
Graphics card: AMD Radeon Pro 5500M
Blender Version
Broken: Blender 3.0, 2.93.6
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
Permissions on mac application builds are broken, with owner only have read/execute permissions to the following applications directories /Contents/Resources/2.93, /Contents/Resources/lib and /Contents/Resources/text.
If you add permissions for read & execute to those directories non-owner user can properly launch application.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
libomp also fails to load due to read permissions.

2.93.6 is supposed to have resolved this issue, so it's not obviously a duplicate.

The issue appears to be that the buildbot worker were running with a bad umask. I changed the macOS buildbot workers to be created with
--umask=0o22
to solve that.Tomorrow's daily build should have this problem solved:

Actually there is still something else wrong.

The Arm machines had a Blender git repo checkout with wrong permission still, just needed to be refreshed.
I am still seeing this issue in the recent Blender 3.0.0 release. I manually fixed permissions to resolve issue application not launching.
Incorrect Permissions to macOS Applications Builds Breaks App Launch for non-owner users - Only Owner has read/execute permissions to app bundle directories /Contents/Resources/2.93, /Contents/Resources/lib and /Contents/Resources/textto 3.0 mac: non admin users can't run blenderChanged status from 'Resolved' to: 'Confirmed'

I guess there was still some buildbot machine with the wrong permissions. I cleared out all the folders now and restarted the workers, hopefully that solves it.
If it still happens in tomorrow's build, please mention the exact build name so we can trace where it came from. Since at least some of the releases / builds look correct to me.

This task is not resolved for me today. Installed 1/5/21 build as admin on MacOs Catalina, could not run as user. Granted permissions using Get Info, error message was "Could not open the application because it may be damaged or incomplete."
Can you mention the exact filename of the build you downloaded?
That's the official release from December 3, while this bug was resolved on December 15.
It should be fixed in newer builds from:
