System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19043-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: AMD Radeon R7 M440 ATI Technologies Inc. 4.5.14831 Core Profile Context 21.5.2 27.20.21003.8013
Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.0.1, branch: master, commit date: 2022-01-25 17:19, hash:
dc2d180181
Worked: 2.92
Short description of error
I was trying to follow a Toon Shader Tutorial from Lightning Boy Studio when I notice the weird behavior of the shader after changing the offset x and offset z values I tried to investigate when this problem started and it seems to be started after version 2.92.0 that means from 2.93.0 this weird behavior started showing up
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
to produce this bug you will have to be in the rendered view or material preview
change the value of the x offset and z offset
this is the expected results from checking it on 2.93.0+ including the 3.0.1 and the newest alpha version of 3.2.0-alpha
From version 2.92.0 to 2.8 this is the behavior you get from the shader

Thanks for the report, I can replicate that. Can you try simplify the file as much as possible? Try to remove all nodes and materials that are not relevant to the bug.
ok here is most simplified version of the file that I can possibly do anymore than that the specular wouldn't work because it requires the Geometry, Combine XYZand a Specular BSDF for it to be produced.
you only need to change the value of the x, y and z to see the result now.

Thanks for the reply.
