Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Duplicate default cube
  • Enter edit mode on both cubes
  • Switch to Face mode (important)
  • Deselect everything
  • Make a loop cut on one of the cubes
  • Use L to select linked on both cubes one after the other
ele is null

[Original Description]
just what need to do - open the scene, move cursor to the cube, then press the key combination - loop cut (ctrl+r), enter-enter, select linked(L)

2.92 is about a year old, and has been replaced by more recent releases, so it's no longer supported. Could you check the behavior in 2.93 or 3.0, and submit a new report if the crash still exists there? Thanks.

Let's go ahead and reopen this as I can confirm the crash across a many versions including master. I'll tidy up the description in the next update.
