Moving/tweaking multiple selected nodes my clicking and dragging only moves 'active' node #98045

System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.22000-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 512.15

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.3.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2022-05-10 22:38, hash: 1bb7fda600
Worked: 3.1.1

Short description of error
If you have multiple nodes selected in the node editor (geomertynodes, shader, composite) and you want to move them by clicking and dragging, it only moves the node you clicked on, not all selected nodes (how it used to work in 3.1)

Don't know if this is intended since, there was some work done on the tweak in the past days to unify it with the tweak in 3D viewport, where it always used to work like this.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Add a new Geometrynodes tree to the default cube
  • Add multiple nodes into the tree (don't need to be connected)
  • Select multiple nodes (with the selection tool of your choice, box, lasso, 'A' on the keyboard)
  • Try to move the nodes by clicking and dragging on one of the selected nodes

Have a nice day :)

I can't replicate that on master (3.3 Alpha). Does this happen with a factory reset? And are you using right or left select?

Although I think I barely changed anything in there, I just tried again after reseting preferences to factory defaults, and now the issue no longer persists.
So the issue probably was due to something in the config (reused an older one from 3.0). Also, while probably no longer needed, I am using left-click select.
