Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
I have to copy and paste Chinese outside blender to display Chinese fonts, and the fonts with Chinese names cannot be displayed in the blender font library, only the fonts with English names can be displayed

If I understand correctly, the issue is that files with Chinese characters are not shown in the file browser? Can you attach one of those files?
For the thumbnails, I think this will be improved in D12032.
HYShangWeiShouShuW.ttf
Chinese cannot be entered in blender, the text must be copied and pasted to display correctly{F13138270}
The file browser displays that font correctly. Is the issue about thumbnails or text input as shown in your gif?
Maybe it's because I'm a Chinese system,In the English system, this font displays the English name, but the Chinese system displays the Chinese name, so I can't view it,I only see 200 fonts in the blender font library, but my windows font library has 400 fonts
I have two questions, the first is that the font library cannot display Chinese fonts, and the second is that Chinese cannot be entered
For the Chinese input, we have similar reports, like #87578. So lets investigate the file browser issue first.
I switched to Chinese in Blender and it was still visible. But I am on Linux, maybe this is a Windows only thing.
Please open Blender's installation directory and double click on the
blender_debug_gpu.cmd
. This will start Blender in debug mode and create log files. Try to reproduce the error again. Once you close Blender the Windows Explorer should open and show you up to two files, a debug log and the system information. Add them to your bug report by clicking on the upload button as shown in the screenshot below or via drag and drop.blender_debug_output.txt
blender_system_info.txt
Your font name is in English HYShangWeiShouShuW
My font name is 汉仪尚魏手书W常规,so i can't see it in blender{F13138369}
I can type Chinese in some text input options like search and name files,but if I create text it can't enter Chinese
I found that when I install the font, under the fonts folder, if the font is Chinese, I cannot find it in the blender font library, if it is not installed in the fonts folder, I can find it in blender, but the Chinese display is?
The display should be improved in D12032.
But since the same font appear when in a different folder, could it be a permission issue? Maybe check the permissions on those fonts or open Blender as an administrator to see if it is indeed a permission issue?
Can't solve it, but I can access it normally in C4D, I don't think it's a permission issue?

It's this: https://developer.blender.org/D13293
When you are installing fonts they go to a folder in your profile, while Blender by default only shows the global fonts.
You have fonts both in
c:\windows\fonts
and inC:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts
. If your browse to the latter you will probably see what you want. The patch referenced above makes Blender show both folders together in the same way the the Windows Explorer doesThanks for you help
Then I guess we can merge this to the other report and perhaps reopen the other one.
For the other issues regarding the thumbnails and text inputs, we already have the reports and patches I mentioned before, but if you think the issues are not covered by them, feel free to open a new report specific to the issue.
