Regression: EEVEE Pixelated Environment Texture #99128

Operating system: Windows 10
Graphics card: AMD Radeon

Blender Version
Broken: 3.2
Worked: 3.1

Environment texture in EEVEE becomes pixelated as the camera moves further from the centre of the scene (both viewport render & main render).

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Add HDR to default project.

  • Switch to rendered viewport mode (with EEVEE renderer).

  • Zoom out and notice the background becomes pixelated until it's just a few squares.

  • Also notice if the default cube is scaled up (max clipping is increased to say 1000000), the camera is refocused on the now bigger cube by pressing . or view > frame selected, this will allow zooming out further, making the background even more pixelated.

  • Also note that after zooming out, if then panning the camera left, and zooming in on the new target (not facing the cube at the centre), it will remain pixelated this time, which implies it's based on the cameras absolute distance from the centre of the scene and not zoom distance to the selected object.

UPDATE:
Only seems to occur when using imported environment background texture, not when using internal HDRI's in the shading popover.
