System Information
Operating system: Linux-5.13.0-52-generic-x86_64-with-glibc2.31 64 Bits
Graphics card: Mesa DRI Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 (HSW GT2) Intel Open Source Technology Center 4.5 (Core Profile) Mesa 21.2.6

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.2.0, branch: master, commit date: 2022-06-08 10:22, hash: e05e1e3691
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
Crash when no font is in String to Curves and is connected to output

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Open attached Blend file
    Attached Blender file
    crash in GN.blend

  2. Connect text path to output path

See animation below
crash blender.gif

I think I tracked part of the issue down to this.

@Still : how do you actually get it to have no font at all?

Can confirm
If you remove all the fonts from their project, the node cannot even use the default

Probably just need protection from nulptr
And also the error message

Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk). To answer your question "how do you actually get it to have no font at all?" A simple copy the nodes and paste the nodes to another blend file. It may also happen if the blend file is created on an OS like Linux and is opened on Windows / Mac that uses different Fonts or doesn't have access to the same fonts.
