Hello Sebastian,

I found out that I'm still having trouble using your tool via script. Now when I try to import a 3ds I get nothing in scene and I don't receive any warning too:

If I rollback to Blender 4.1 script (2.4.9 release):

Everything works fine:

I tried exportation too and it seems working properly, it's really odd the importation does not.
I hope everything is clear, let me now if you need more info.

@Andrea-Fabris This happens because you have the addon and the extension installed. You can solve it by uninstalling the addon

HI @NRGSille, sorry to bother you again, but even without the addon installed it doesn't work.

I tried even a new installation of Blender on another pc and it gave me the same issue.

I tried also changing the extension of the file, in order to verify if the extension communicates in a certain way (with a warning for instance), but there is no way to have a feedback of the operation.

@Andrea-Fabris It must have something to do with the latest blender version, maybe because the conversion from add-on to extension. In blender version 4.1 there was no issue to use as an operator but in version 4.2 it does not work. I do not know the reason for that, maybe you can report the issue to the blender extensions repository
