I think whole comment is redundant, variable changed is in general used to decide whether operator has been finished or cancelled and therefore generates undo step.

filter_glob update is not taken into account until user click on "Refresh File List"

Will keep open for now, the property update should be handled by RNA update function, but it doesn't work for some reason.
