I am not sure how you even get these properties to be overridden? I could not reproduce...

Looks like 4.2.2LTS closed up this bug as the End prop is not editable. This was in 4.2.0.

But currently, the settings of the SoftBody modifier are not defined as overridable. We could enable it, but then again, pointCache is a fairly painfulsystem that does not work that well with…

oops spoke too soon as I had changed to use cycles:CPU instead of cycles:GPU!

update: you don't even have to use the cache files or the bakeAll.py script. I get the same error with setting cycles/GPU/CUDA, and don't get the error setting cycles/CPU.
