@Jeroen-Bakker It looks like offsets already use intptr_t consistently, so I, IMO, it's ok to leave them like that. Offsets are more likely to come from arithmetic operations, so some errors…

distribute points on faces node has broken memory useage in Eevee next

We should only store the deformation for the instanced object. So here only once.

But for that we need to know for sure that there's not any modifier deforming it.
