Hey Nick, I have another low priority request/idea for the render review addon:
Would be nice if the default task type when pushing to kitsu could be derived from the job name of the render (it's usually lighting, and that's in the name of the strip, but the default is always animation).
And another thing:
Would be great to have an option for the task status to take whatever is currently the status of the task. I keep having to look it up on kitsu what the current status is, if I don't intend to change the status. Sometimes, I just rerender because the fx changed, but don't want to interfere with the status of the lighting task.

TODO

  • Automatically Detect Task Type from Strip Name (Animation, Lighting, FX, etc)
  • Display Task Status for the Task detected strip (TODO, WIP, WFA, etc)

Thanks for making the task!

Yep, that's good. I don't know what kind of data the meta-strip has, maybe that can be used for the type, rather than the individual strip name.
And for the status, this could also be set as the default.
But both should probably be displayed in the sidebar together to give the context

I thought about it a bit more and you run into the issue that if you change the type, the current status might be different.
Maybe it makes sense to select the type before you press the button to push and in the popup only specify the status and comment.
