Delete Branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

Short description of error
Turning off Overlays also turns off meshes. This only seems to affect blend files that were created by an older version of Blender as I couldn't replicate the bug with a brand new file.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open the demo file: overlay_bug_report.blend
Turn off Overlays
...everything disappears

I can reproduce it in this file, but not yet in other files.

Cycles has to be the Render Engine. If Workbench or Eevee is the Render Engine the problem is not showing up.
