I cannot reproduce this issue. We'll need you to provide more info. Let us know which version of Rain you downloaded, and list the exact steps you must follow to get the error you're experiencing.
no problem
it could just be me but i redownloaded Blender 3.0, & redownloaded 'rain_v2.1.blend'
in a new blender scene i delete camera, light and cube.
i Link Rain (rain_v2.1.blend - collection - CH-Rain)
then with rain selected (Object - Relations - Make Library Override) and accept
after that there is no rig visible, so i go to outliner and make rig visible by enabling in viewport.
I select rig and go to pose mode
Hit 'N'
open cloudrig tab
and under FK/IK Switch
the Left Arm switch is greyed out and hovering over reveals the error message
"Left Arm:
Disabled: can't edit this property from an override data-block"
i hope this helps and its not just me

Seems I forgot to mark some properties as library overridable, I will try to update her this week, thanks for the report!
no problem!
thanks for the incredibly quick respones!
Should be fixed and updated! Unfortunately that means the rig now requires Blender 3.0. (I thought it would open with earlier versions, but apparently not. :/ )

Hopefully that's not too big an issue.
Thank you very much for the help
