Flamenco 3 doesn't run properly on Windows yet.

  • Shaman uses symbolic links, which require special permissions, and the approach described in the README.md does not work on Windows 10 Home. The Git-for-Windows documentation may help here.
  • #99438 (Windows: .blend file association detection)
  • And there are probably some other issues as well, as the development & testing of Flamenco 3 so far has been 99.99% on Linux.

This task is to keep track of the work to either fix Windows-specific issues or clearly document them in the README.md file.

#87484 (Windows machine network path error on network rendering. Flamenco. Blender cloud addon.) has been resolved, fb5501028d and 370f935f65 provided the fixes. At least for simple use (i.e. having work files already in the shared storage) things seem to work on Windows.
