I found finally that the issue appends only when a light is selected (in my test scene), selecting an object restore the expected navigation behaviour (visible in the video).
Entering light editing tab seems to trig the issue in this case.
Seems to work again appending the scene to the last 4.2 version.
Confirmed! enabling the hdri preview causes an immediate crash when SSS is present in the scene, that explain why no crash was observed in the layout panel and only in the shader panel...
