This will be tackled as a part of #116, where there will no longer be a distinction between "Character Properties" and other rig properties.

"Online Manual" button doesn't work with add-on preferences

Also note that nested PropertyGroups also do not work, as it always results in:

online manual check for: 'bpy.types.bpy_struct'... 
            match found: 'bpy.types.bpy_struct*' -->…
