Only source/blender/editors/ dir, should not give errors on different platforms
Only removing: UI_*.h, ED_*.h, WM_*.h, DNA_*.h, IMB_*.h, RNA_*.h, PIL_*.h
- update internal 'btempdir' from userprefs on changing and initializing the temp dir.
- add sequence strip operators nolonger require the sequence view to be active (better for automation).
(commit 27434 by Campbell from render25 branch)
unrelated changes that ended up being more trouble to commit separate...
- removed BLI_split_dirfile(), was nasty, occasionaly modifying the source string, it could create directories and used the $CWD in some cases. was only used in 2 places in filesel.c, if this gives problems can address without bringing back this function.
renamed BLI_split_dirfile_basic --> BLI_split_dirfile
- view3d_operator_needs_opengl was being called for offscreen render when it wasnt needed.
- recode of the whole sequencer audio handling
- encode audio flag removed, instead you choose None as audio codec, added None for video codec too
- ffmpeg formats/codecs: enabled: theora, ogg, vorbis; added: matroska, flac (not working, who can fix?), mp3, wav
- sequencer wave drawing
- volume animation (now also working when mixing down to a file!)
- made sequencer strip position and length values unanimatable
- Icons for brushes disabled List Box to work (paint buttons)
- Mouse-release in secondary Blender windows didn't get registered
in window where mouse-press initiated.
And fixed annoyance: adding image strip makes it 25 frames long, so
you can drag and extend it easily.
The 'save over' popup was only appearing based on a string comparison of the operator name ("Save"). Changed this to use a hidden operator property: "check_existing". Python operators must
have this property for the file selector confirmation too.
This property can also be set to false, to prevent checking for existing files, useful in the File->Save menu item to prevent the dangerously missable confirmation popup.
Blender too now! :)
** Drag works as follows:
- drag-able items are defined by the standard interface ui toolkit
- each button can get this feature, via uiButSetDragXXX(but, ...).
There are calls to define drag-able images, ID blocks, RNA paths,
file paths, and so on. By default you drag an icon, exceptionally
an ImBuf
- Drag items are registered centrally in the WM, it allows more drag
items simultaneous too, but not implemented
** Drop works as follows:
- On mouse release, and if drag items exist in the WM, it converts
the mouse event to an EVT_DROP type. This event then gets the full
drag info as customdata
- drop regions are defined with WM_dropbox_add(), similar to keymaps
you can make a "drop map" this way, which become 'drop map handlers'
in the queues.
- next to that the UI kit handles some common button types (like
accepting ID or names) to be catching a drop event too.
- Every "drop box" has two callbacks:
- poll() = check if the event drag data is relevant for this box
- copy() = fill in custom properties in the dropbox to initialize
an operator
- The dropbox handler then calls its standard Operator with its
dropbox properties.
** Currently implemented
Drag items:
- ID icons in browse buttons
- ID icons in context menu of properties region
- ID icons in outliner and rna viewer
- FileBrowser icons
- FileBrowser preview images
Drag-able icons are subtly visualized by making them brighter a bit
on mouse-over. In case the icon is a button or UI element too (most
cases), the drag-able feature will make the item react to
mouse-release instead of mouse-press.
Drop options:
- UI buttons: ID and text buttons (paste name)
- View3d: Object ID drop copies object
- View3d: Material ID drop assigns to object under cursor
- View3d: Image ID drop assigns to object UV texture under cursor
- Sequencer: Path drop will add either Image or Movie strip
- Image window: Path drop will open image
** Drag and drop Notes:
- Dropping into another Blender window (from same application) works
too. I've added code that passes on mousemoves and clicks to other
windows, without activating them though. This does make using multi-window
Blender a bit friendler.
- Dropping a file path to an image, is not the same as dropping an
Image ID... keep this in mind. Sequencer for example wants paths to
be dropped, textures in 3d window wants an Image ID.
- Although drop boxes could be defined via Python, I suggest they're
part of the UI and editor design (= how we want an editor to work), and
not default offered configurable like keymaps.
- At the moment only one item can be dragged at a time. This is for
several reasons.... For one, Blender doesn't have a well defined
uniform way to define "what is selected" (files, outliner items, etc).
Secondly there's potential conflicts on what todo when you drop mixed
drag sets on spots. All undefined stuff... nice for later.
- Example to bypass the above: a collection of images that form a strip,
should be represented in filewindow as a single sequence anyway.
This then will fit well and gets handled neatly by design.
- Another option to check is to allow multiple options per drop... it
could show the operator as a sort of menu, allowing arrow or scrollwheel
to choose. For time being I'd prefer to try to design a singular drop
though, just offer only one drop action per data type on given spots.
- What does work already, but a tad slow, is to use a function that
detects an object (type) under cursor, so a drag item's option can be
further refined (like drop object on object = parent). (disabled)
** More notes
- Added saving for Region layouts (like split points for toolbar)
- Label buttons now handle mouse over
- File list: added full path entry for drop feature.
- Filesel bugfix: wm_operator_exec() got called there and fully handled,
while WM event code tried same. Added new OPERATOR_HANDLED flag for this.
Maybe python needs it too?
- Cocoa: added window move event, so multi-win setups work OK (didnt save).
- Interface_handlers.c: removed win->active
- Severe area copy bug: area handlers were not set to NULL
- Filesel bugfix: next/prev folder list was not copied on area copies
** Leftover todos
- Cocoa windows seem to hang on cases still... needs check
- Cocoa 'draw overlap' swap doesn't work
- Cocoa window loses focus permanently on using Spotlight
(for these reasons, makefile building has Carbon as default atm)
- ListView templates in UI cannot become dragged yet, needs review...
it consists of two overlapping UI elements, preventing handling icon clicks.
- There's already Ghost library code to handle dropping from OS
into Blender window. I've noticed this code is unfinished for Macs, but
seems to be complete for Windows. Needs test... currently, an external
drop event will print in console when succesfully delivered to Blender's WM.
* Sound strips now respect metastrips for muting. That means they
are muted if the metastrip is muted, and don't play when located
outside of the current metastrip.
* Operators now use notifiers instead of redraw tagging, added a
separate notifier for selection as well, but that is not used to
do less redraws yet.
Brought back default effect fading: (adding a wipe effect makes it
wipe by default for the length of the strip)
First round in upgrading IPOs from older versions. (works for non-IPO
case now and sets at least the new "default effect fade"-flag)
Still non-working for old IPOs, since Sequence-Strips aren't real IDs!
And: non-frame-lock case should stretch the FCurve to the right length!
- more api like functions for adding movie, sound & images (easier to use from pyrna api)
- operators share more settings
- renamed get_last_seq() to active_seq_get() - same for set.
* Convert all code to use new functions.
* Branch maintainers may want to skip this commit, and run this
conversion script instead, if they use a lot of math functions
in new code:
http://www.pasteall.org/9052/python
Appending and Linking
* Linking Operator, invokes filebrowser for Append/Link
* Separated the append/link function into three parts:
** BLO_library_append_begin finds main for appending
** BLO_library_append_named_part appends one Object,Group, Material, ...
** BLO_library_append_end actually reads and expands the libraries
NOTE 1:
I also changed the returned properties for the filebrowser operators to the following convention:
"path" - the full path to a file or directory, means what is in directory + filename buttons in filebrowser
"directory" - the content of the directory button in filebrowser
"filename" - the content of the filename button in filebrowser
Usually only path should be required, but in some cases it might be more convenient to retrieve the parts separately.
Ton, Brecht: If you have time to take a look, let me know if anything needs to be fixed.
Also, made the Outliner's horizontal scrollbar work better for keymaps view. It's still using an approximation of the width, but at least you can scroll now.
* Side panels now use list widgets.
* Enabled theme colors for side panel.
* Add button in bookmarks panel.
* Operator panel title now uses operator name.
* For unix, added / to system, and home and desktop to bookmarks.
* For opening fileselect with filter, cleaned up the code a bit,
adding WM_operator_properties_filesel instead of duplicating code.
* Also added filter for all operators calling fileselect, only image
and file open did it before.
* Hide . files by default, and also hide files ending with ~.
* Added back .. (but not .) in the file list, I really missed this.
* File highlight now only happens when you're actually over a file,
instead staying after you move the mouse away.
* Fix some redraw/refresh issues.
svn merge https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/trunk/blender -r19820:HEAD
Notes:
* Game and sequencer RNA, and sequencer header are now out of date
a bit after changes in trunk.
* I didn't know how to port these bugfixes, most likely they are
not needed anymore.
* Fix "duplicate strip" always increase the user count for ipo.
* IPO pinning on sequencer strips was lost during Undo.
This allows the sequencers Add-Image strip to work like it does in 2.4x.
- as well as setting the "filename" operator property, operators can have collections called "files" and "dirs" which are set when available.
- RNA_OperatorFileListElement as new collection type, its a bit redundant since each item only has a "name" property but its needed since we don't have a string array type.
- the file selector now prints operators it runs.
Tested with python, adding a list of images works to the sequencer works.
bpy.ops.SEQUENCER_OT_image_strip_add(name="MyImages", start_frame=54, channel=2, filename="/somedir/", replace_sel=True, files=[{"name":"test1.png"}, {"name":"test2.png"}])
* User interface uses this as a tooltip when NULL or "" is given.
* Python doc generation includes this description
* Python defined ops take the description as an argument.
* NULL check to image_ops.c, was crashing on exit when there was an image open.
Big commit, but mainly adminstration.
- Enabled ot->flag OPTYPE_UNDO to work.
- Removed all redundant ED_undo_pushes, but I'd
recommend everyone to check it while testing. :)
- Added view manipulations as OPTYPE_REGISTER,
although this will flood the redo stack a bit...
Nevertheless; for a "redo last action" panel we
can simply check if both flags are set for redo.
- Bugfix in editmode undo: selectmode was cleared,
so you couldn't select after undo
- Bugfix in mixing tweaks and keymaps... solution
works but is weak, need to think over a while.
It opens the files selector if "filename" property has not been set, else it executes the operator directly. Brecht, you might want to check, currently only sequencer add operators use it.
* Added back Effects menu back, replaced SEQUENCER_OT_add_color_strip with SEQUENCER_OT_add_effect_strip.
* Made sequencer header use operator UI functions.
* gcc complains when char's are used as array indicies when they are not explicitly signed/unsigned, corrected previous change for vpaint to silence this error.
* sequencer transform now does overlap checks.
* removed old transform functions from sequencer_edit.c
* shuffle_seq moved to kernel, now moves strips to the end of the last sequence of itschannel (if all channels are used). 2.4x would remove the strip.
* most of the 'Strip' menu items now call their operators in the header menu, some for view and select too.
SEQUENCER_OT_add_duplicate(mode=1)
SEQUENCER_OT_add_image_strip(name='', start_frame=0, channel=1, filename='', replace_sel=True)
SEQUENCER_OT_add_movie_strip(name='', start_frame=0, channel=1, filename='', replace_sel=True)
SEQUENCER_OT_add_sound_strip(name='', start_frame=0, channel=1, filename='', replace_sel=True)
Some of these use the file selector, Note that sound isn't working yet because editsound.c functions are not yet in 2.5 and Operators dont have a way to recieve an array of strings so SEQUENCER_OT_add_image_strip only adds 1 image at the moment.
can transform the strips or move their handles
Still todo, click-drag transform, metastrips support, snapping, markers overlap checks and constrain to valid channels.
