This commit makes the new-style Motion Paths work for Objects and Bones. Motion Paths can either be added for Objects (Object buttons) or for Selected Bones in PoseMode (Armature Buttons), and/or removed from these panels too.
Changes:
* Changed the way the baking code worked, since it was better to be able to bake a bunch of objects at once, instead of doing it per object
* Fixed a variety of bugs regarding initialising defaults and reading old files
* Added operators for Objects (like for bones), and replaced the existing code for bones.
* Fixed bug with baking code that was causing it to bake the wrong ranges
Todos:
* Frame number drawing is currently messed up, since the "cached" text drawing takes into account the object transforms.
* The new MotionPath panels currently appear as the first panels in the respective contexts, probably due to the order in which the files are included. This needs some fixing, though not sure what the best way is yet.
is now just used to set the rotation property value during invoke.
This removes some reliance on 3d view info for non-interactive use, and also lets you specify
new object's locations/rotations explicitly when calling from Python.
2. Add action parameter to Select_All_Toggle operators, rename to Select_All.
Options are Toggle (default), Select, Deselect, Invert (same as select swap). This makes it possible to map separate hotkeys for select all and deselect all.
NOTE for Aligorith: I didn't change animation operators for select_all which already had an Invert operator. These should be fixed eventually.
the RNA constraint api was checking the current context when getting the constraint driver path and renaming constraints.
this made scripts not work properly so changed this to search for the constraint pose channel user within the object (if the object its self is not the user).
Rather than applying the modifier to the object data, it will create a new shape
with the deformed vertices in there. Only mesh at the moment, other object
types on the todo.
Parenting an object to some deformer (i.e. Armature, Curve, Lattice) now adds a new modifier if the object is deformable.
The advantages of this over setting PAR_SKEL mode are:
- instead of a hidden 'virtual' modifier, the user has direct feedback about what sort of modifier is being applied to deform
- most of the time in 2.4, whenever a virtual modifier was added, users would inevitably end up clicking "Make Real" on it
Of course, it's still possible to get 'virtual' modifiers by setting the parent type using the menu-property, but this just makes general setup easier.
useful for python but in rare cases this also happens for users.
Active layer getting out of sync is an old bug but hard find when it happens.
This at least fixes segfaulting on adding objects.
wm.context_set(path="scene.tool_settings.someattr", somevalue)
wm.context_toggle(path="scene.tool_settings.somebool")
wm.context_toggle_values(path="scene.tool_settings.some_enum", value_1="somevalue", value_2="othervalue") # switch between 2 values
wm.context_cycle_enum(path="scene.tool_settings.some_enum", reverse=False)
the path value is taken from the context so the full path is
context.scene.tool_settings...
This means in keymaps you can cycle draw modes, change PET- anything with rna access.
If its not so nice to map keys to operators like wm.context_set we could use macro's to wrap it and have its own name
Use this for PET and setting pivot options
- Made userpref key shortcut Ctrl+Alt+U since its not used in 2.4x
- added pivot_point_align (Alt+Comma)
- added PET wasnt rna wrapped correctly.
changed extrude, rip and duplicate to disable proportional editing however this gives a different problem now.
Commented in transform.c
// XXX If modal, save settings back in scene
this changes disables the option whenever the macro used used.
bpy.ops.mesh.primitive_torus_add(major_radius=1, minor_radius=0.25, major_segments=48, minor_segments=16)
- experemental dynamic menus, used for INFO_MT_file, INFO_MT_file_import, INFO_MT_file_export and INFO_MT_mesh_add. these can have items added from python.
eg.
- removed OBJECT_OT_mesh_add, use the python add menu instead.
- made mesh primitive ops - MESH_OT_primitive_plane_add, ...cube_add, etc. work in object mode.
- RNA scene.active_object wrapped
- bugfix [#19466] 2.5: Tweak menu only available for mesh objects added within Edit Mode
ED_object_exit_editmode was always doing an undo push, made this optional using the existing flag - EM_DO_UNDO, called everywhere except when adding primitives.
Keymaps are now saveable and configurable from the user preferences, note
that editing one item in a keymap means the whole keymap is now defined by
the user and will not be updated by Blender, an option for syncing might be
added later. The outliner interface is still there, but I will probably
remove it.
There's actually 3 levels now:
* Default builtin key configuration.
* Key configuration loaded from .py file, for configs like Blender 2.4x
or other 3D applications.
* Keymaps edited by the user and saved in .B.blend. These can be saved
to .py files as well to make creating distributable configurations
easier.
Also, user preferences sections were reorganized a bit, now there is:
Interface, Editing, Input, Files and System.
Implementation notes:
* wmKeyConfig was added which represents a key configuration containing
keymaps.
* wmKeymapItem was renamed to wmKeyMapItem for consistency with wmKeyMap.
* Modal maps are not wrapped yet.
* User preferences DNA file reading did not support newdataadr() yet,
added this now for reading keymaps.
* Key configuration related settings are now RNA wrapped.
* is_property_set and is_property_hidden python methods were added.
* Split object_edit.c into multiple files:
object_add.c, object_edit.c, object_hook.c, object_relations.c,
object_select.c, object_transform.c.
* Rename files to have consistent object_ and mball_ prefix:
object_shapekey.c, object_lattice.c, object_vgroup.c, mball_edit.c.
* Added operators:
* vertex group menu and set active
* apply location, rotation, scale, visual transform (location is new)
* make local
* make vertex parent
* move to layer
* convert to curve/mesh (not finished yet)
* Many small fixes for marked issues, but still much code to be cleaned
up here...
* Made sculpt mode local to object.
* This also fixes loading files from 2.4x saved in sculptmode
Touched a lot of things here, let me know if anything breaks
TODO:
* The other paint modes should be converted as well
* Restored quick operators for moving bones between layers and switching visible armature layers. The popup used here (based on the layers template) is not optimal yet - you can click on multiple layer buttons to enable/disable them, but you need to move your mouse outside the area for it to confirm.
* Separate armatures works again. I've tweaked the arguments to ED_object_duplicate() to make this work (besides, the other users of this wouldn't have been affected).
* Added some missing special (transform) operators to the menus + keymaps
- reports can be selected with RMB, Border (bkey) and (de)select all.
- delete reports (X key)
- run operators in the console (R key)
- copy reports (Ctrl+C), can be pasted in the text editor an run with alt+p
Details
- Added "selected_editable_objects" and "selected_editable_bases" to screen_context.c, use the scene layers, this was needed for duplicate to run outside the 3D view.
- RNA_property_as_string converted an array of 1 into "(num)" need a comma so python sees it as a tuple - "(num,)"
- add flag to reports, use for seletion atm.
opens a new world of context bugs :)
* Added Relations panel with layers, pass_index, parent.
* Groups panel now can do add to group/remove from group.
* Parent, parent type, track are now editable.
* Separate constraint add operator for object and bones.
* Move Up/Down and Delete are now operators
* Made TrackTo constraint use expanded enum toggles for up axis too.
--> BUG ALERT: specifying name and expand in the arguments to itemR doesn't work (name gets skipped)
All kinds of changes to get it ready for UI layouts. This means RNA
and operators should be working correct, but most buttons are still
not actually there yet.
* Added near empty soft body, fluid, field and collision panels,
tweaks to cloth panels.
* Fluid bake works, but without escape or showing any progress.
* Fluid/Softbody/Cloth/Collision can now be both added as modifiers
or in the physics panels.
* Missing: fields & soft body for particles.
* Missing: proper updating softbodies, guess this code still needs
updates after pointcache refactor?
Part one (of probably many :) of Operator review/validation.
Nothing final nor defined, it's reseach :)
- Added tool buttons in "Toolbar" (Tkey). Just four examples
for objectmode, and six for mesh editmode.
(Review in progress is operator internal state vs context, what
do redo exactly, undo vs redo syncing, when op->invoke or not,
etc. This has to be pinned down exactly and frozen asap)
- On undo, clear redo-operator-stack for now (won't work)
- Added call to better detect active/current view3d region.
ED_view3d_context_rv3d(C)
- Fixed some operators that missed correct redo (add-prim etc).
Later more fun!
* Make modifier and constraint templates use left/right alignment for
buttons in the header.
* Added mdef bind operator as an example of how to use local context
for a modifier, and add some code I forgot to commit last time to
make this system actually work.
* Added Constraints template and Add Constraint operator.
* Added toggle=True/False parameter to uiItemR, to get a
toggle button (actual button) rather than an "option"
button (checkbox)
* Added OPTION/OPTIONN button type, to distinguish with
TOG/TOGN.
RNA:
* Make all modifier pointers editable, including correct updates.
* Added notifiers and updates to constraints.
* Fix a stack corruption, pointed out by Andrea, and potentially
causing crashes.
* template_modifier creates the modifier box, and returns a layout
to put the buttons in.
* Only the armature modifier is now done with python code, all other
modifiers use C code. To convert a modifier to python, remove the
corresponding C code and create a function in DATA_PT_modifiers.
* Some modifiers still require some RNA work to get it working well,
especially to make pointers editable. Mostly that is a matter of
defining an own _set callback and put some of the modifier C code
into it.
* Still various buttons that don't work, like for hooks or mesh
deform binding.
* Fix for crashing decimate modifier (still disabled).
* Removed UI_BUT_NO_HILITE, HMENU.
* Make uiLayoutBox work with align.
- Brought back code for particle edit and fluidsim
- Sanitized code from globals and bad level calls,
so its ready to come back working.
- Fixed cirle selecting (Ckey now)
- Enabled undo for editmode curve, armature, particle
and lattice
(another commit following)
View3D has been split now in a local part (RegionView3D) and a
per-area part (old View3D). Currently local is:
- view transform
- camera zoom/offset
- gpencil (todo)
- custom clipping planes
Rest is in Area still, like active camera, draw type, layers,
localview, custom centers, around-settings, transform widget,
gridlines, and so on (mostly stuff as available in header).
To see it work; also added new feature for region split,
press SHIFT+ALT+CTRL+S for four-split.
The idea is to make a preset 4-split, configured to stick
to top/right/front views for three views.
Another cool idea to explore is to then box-clip all drawing
based on these 3 views.
Note about the code:
- currently view3d still stores some depricated settings, to
convert from older files. Not all settings are copied over
though, like custom clip planes or the 'lock view to object'.
- since some view3d ops are now on area level, the operators
for it should keep track of that.
Bugfix in transform: quat initialize in operator-invoke missed
one zero.
Als brought back GE to compile for missing Ipos and channels.
