- some merges added lines in multiple times
- removed some NULL checks that were only in bmesh
- enable cycles by default (was disabled because it used not to work)
- make formatting match
* Fix: Wave "timescale" also changed simulation behavior. Now different timescale values will lead to nearly identical results, just slower or faster.
* Added "Displace Factor" setting for vertex displace surfaces. You can use it to adjust final displace strength or use negative values to paint bumps.
* Added clamp/map value to wave image sequence output settings.
* RNA description tweaking.
* General code tweaking.
Also use const char in many other parts of blenders code.
Currently this gives warnings for setting operator id, label and description since these are an exception and allocated beforehand.
scene.active_keying_set --> scene.keying_sets.active
...same for active_uv_texture. active_vertex_color, active_keyconfig,
- move mesh.add_uv_layer() and mesh.add_vertex_color() into their collections
also have them return the newly created layer and dont set the layer active.
uvtex = mesh.uv_layers.new(name)
vcol = mesh.vertex_colors.new(name)
- vertex normals were not being flipped (though faces are)
- rim faces didnt influence edge vertex normals
apply solidify on top of solidify modifier now works correctly
Most likely will not compile for others, I'd appreciate any build errors
and missing files reports (I can never seem to get everything committed
and all the build systems working without help).
Porting over the sculpt/multires tools was a breeze,
thanks goes to brecht for a design that didn't exclude
ngons and was easy to port.
Note that I've not tested externally-backed multires
file support yet. Also, I still need to write version
patch code for some cases.
Some notes:
* Like trunk, topological changes don't update multires right,
so e.g. subdivide will duplicate multires data on the new faces,
instead of subdividing it.
* If you set the debug value (ctrl-alt-d) to 1 it'll turn on
my experiments in speeding up sculpting on higher-res multires
meshes (but note it makes partial redraw not completely accurate).
* There's a bug where you have to go through editmode to get out
of sculpt mode, not sure if I inherited or created this myself.
Revised external multires file saving. Now it is more manual in that you
have to specify where to save it, like an image file, but still saved at
the same time as the .blend. It would ideally be automatic, but this is
difficult to implement, so for now this should at least be more reliable.
* This is experimental, the file format may change still!
* Helps reduce memory usage, keeps .blend files smaller, and makes
saving quicker when not editing multires.
* This is implemented at the customdata level, currently only the
multires displacements can be stored externally.
ToDo
* Better integration with object duplication/removal/..
* Memory is not yet freed when exiting sculpt mode.
* Loading only lower levels is not supported yet.
as does only edges and individual faces extrude (individual vert
extrude already did).
Note that I need to port this, after we all figure out how to handle
operators with variable transform follow-ons.
I also implemented the merge->collapse function, which is currently
accessable under ctrl->v, Bmesh Test Operator. I still need to
implement the other merge modes, and properly hook everything into
the merge menu tool, which I plan on doing soon (tomorrow hopefully).
The cool thing about the collapse tool, is not only does it handle (all)
UV layers, it handles vcols as well. To do this, I had to add a few math
functions to the customdata API, which seem to be working well.
(though it's not completely feature-complete yet).
I ported over the remove doubles code from the
old bmesh branch for this, and split it into two
bmops, "Weld Verts" and "Remove Doubles".
Weld verts welds specific verts together, while remove
doubles finds doubles and welds them.
I also reverted the hotkey change I made earlier.
