* Buttons in header now use operators too. The paste-flipped button needs attention though, since the flipped argument isn't set yet
* Assigned Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V, and Ctrl-Shift-V to Copy/Paste/Paste-Flipped respectively for now.
* Auto-Keying for this doesn't work again yet. On todo for later...
---
* Also, new armatures now get the flag to show custom bone colours enabled by default.
* Added a new UI Template for the 3-colour picker used to visualise + select the custom colours for a bone group.
* Finished wrapping the colour properties for Bone Groups in RNA. Although changing the colour-set used will change the displayed/cached colours, changing the colours via the colour wells will not change the colour set to 'custom' (as per 2.4x) yet. This needs a nice solution...
* Fixed context-related bugs with the Assign/Remove operators for bone groups. These were using context-iterators for selected posechannels, but that was only defined/valid for the 3d view (but not for the buttons window), hence a failure in that case.
* Added Bone Groups UI to 'Armature' context buttons for now. Later, it may be more convenient to have these with bones instead?
* Added operators for the operations that can be performed on these groups. Moved the core adding/removing functions to blenkernel so that they can be used elsewhere in future if need be.
* Properly wrapped bone groups in RNA. Copied the way that Vertex Groups are wrapped, since they share some similarities. Setting colours for bone groups still needs more work though.
* Add/Remove IK now works again using Shift-I and Ctrl-Alt-I as before. The code for this is now located in editconstraint.c for now...
* Adding constraints with automatically added targets works again. It's a relief that the old code still works (with a minor tweak)
* Bone Transform panel now works, using appropriate EditBone or
PoseChannel properties.
* Bone name and parent are now editable.
* Some other tweaks to the UI layouts for Armature and Bone.
* Notifiers for armature/editbone properties.
* Rename BIF_transform/retopo.h to ED_transform/retopo.h
for consistency.
* Move MESH_OT_duplicate_add to editmesh_add.c.
* Remove some code from BIF_gl.h which is not needed there
anymore.
* Context panel now draws without header, with arrows, no scene name.
* Softbody vertex group search popup.
* Improve names for autogenerated shortcut keys in menus.
* Make most Select menus in the 3D view header work.
* Fix armature border select selection syncing.
* Add POSE_OT_select_constraint_target,
MESH_OT_select_by_number_vertices, MESH_OT_select_vertex_path.
* Merge mesh select similar into one operator.
* Don't give MESH_OT_select_random Space hotkey.
* Add DAG_object_flush_update to many mesh edit tools, not calling this
will crash with modifiers.
* RNA_def_enum_funcs for dynamic enums in operators, but not very useful
without context yet.
* Fix refresh issue with image window header + editmode.
* Fix drawing of shadow mesh for image painting.
* Remove deprecated uiDefMenuButO and uiDefMenuSep functions.
* Remove keyval.c, code is in wm_keymap.c already.
* Rename WM_operator_redo to WM_operator_props_popup.
* Added icon to property and enum property items. The latter is
responsible for the large number of files changed.
* For RNA functions, added PROP_RNAPTR flag to ask for a PointerRNA
as argument instead of a C pointer, instead of doing it implicitly
with the AnyType type.
* Material: properly wrap diffuse/specular param variables, and
rename some things for consistency.
* MaterialTextureSlot: added "enabled" property (ma->septex).
* Image: make animated property editable.
* Image Editor: make some things editable, notifiers, respect state.
* Context: fix issue with screen not being set as ID.
svn merge https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/trunk/blender -r19820:HEAD
Notes:
* Game and sequencer RNA, and sequencer header are now out of date
a bit after changes in trunk.
* I didn't know how to port these bugfixes, most likely they are
not needed anymore.
* Fix "duplicate strip" always increase the user count for ipo.
* IPO pinning on sequencer strips was lost during Undo.
* Added extra parameter to generic unique name finding function BLI_uniquename() for specifying the delimeter between non-unique parts of the name and digits.
* Driver target variables now get unique names by default.
Patch from Arystan Dyussenov (A624), two operators for armatures;
- select hierarchy up/down, using bracket [ ] with or without
shift, and for editmode and posemode.
Good work, thanks!
* Brought back recalculate bone roll (Ctrl N). This should be quite a straightforward example of a cleaned-up + ported armature tool.
* Cleaned up a few warnings
* Added selected, selected+editable, and active to access EditBones for Armature Operators to use. These take into account X-Axis Mirror too, so there is really no need to check that sort of thing anymore in tools.
* Added a quick testing operator for verifying that these loops filter the data correctly. I've dumped this in armature_ops.c for now. It can be activated using the TKEY hotkey in Armature EditMode only. This should be removed once we have a few more functional tools.
* Ported over cleaned up roll-calculation tools from AnimSys2
* Removed a few ugly stubs from posemode code
Committed two posemode operators. Hide/Unhide.
For people who want to check on adding operators, only
check the changes in armature directory, rest is to
get things to work, and a small bugfix :)
Cleanup warnings from Joshua's commit (mostly unused variables,
but also used functions that were not prototyped).
Two bugfixes; passing on &ob->adt instead of ob->adt
But; the DNA system is now messed up, with two structs using
the same ID (nAction and bAction), that goes horrible wrong!
Finally, here is the basic (functional) prototype of the new animation system which will allow for the infamous "everything is animatable", and which also addresses several of the more serious shortcomings of the old system. Unfortunately, this will break old animation files (especially right now, as I haven't written the version patching code yet), however, this is for the future.
Highlights of the new system:
* Scrapped IPO-Curves/IPO/(Action+Constraint-Channels)/Action system, and replaced it with F-Curve/Action.
- F-Curves (animators from other packages will feel at home with this name) replace IPO-Curves.
- The 'new' Actions, act as the containers for F-Curves, so that they can be reused. They are therefore more akin to the old 'IPO' blocks, except they do not have the blocktype restriction, so you can store materials/texture/geometry F-Curves in the same Action as Object transforms, etc.
* F-Curves use RNA-paths for Data Access, hence allowing "every" (where sensible/editable that is) user-accessible setting from RNA to be animated.
* Drivers are no longer mixed with Animation Data, so rigs will not be that easily broken and several dependency problems can be eliminated. (NOTE: drivers haven't been hooked up yet, but the code is in place)
* F-Curve modifier system allows useful 'large-scale' manipulation of F-Curve values, including (I've only included implemented ones here): envelope deform (similar to lattices to allow broad-scale reshaping of curves), curve generator (polynomial or py-expression), cycles (replacing the old cyclic extrapolation modes, giving more control over this). (NOTE: currently this cannot be tested, as there's not access to them, but the code is all in place)
* NLA system with 'tracks' (i.e. layers), and multiple strips per track. (NOTE: NLA system is not yet functional, as it's only partially coded still)
There are more nice things that I will be preparing some nice docs for soon, but for now, check for more details:
http://lists.blender.org/pipermail/bf-taskforce25/2009-January/000260.html
So, what currently works:
* I've implemented two basic operators for the 3D-view only to Insert and Delete Keyframes. These are tempolary ones only that will be replaced in due course with 'proper' code.
* Object Loc/Rot/Scale can be keyframed. Also, the colour of the 'active' material (Note: this should really be for nth material instead, but that doesn't work yet in RNA) can also be keyframed into the same datablock.
* Standard animation refresh (i.e. animation resulting from NLA and Action evaluation) is now done completely separate from drivers before anything else is done after a frame change. Drivers are handled after this in a separate pass, as dictated by depsgraph flags, etc.
Notes:
* Drivers haven't been hooked up yet
* Only objects and data directly linked to objects can be animated.
* Depsgraph will need further tweaks. Currently, I've only made sure that it will update some things in the most basic cases (i.e. frame change).
* Animation Editors are currently broken (in terms of editing stuff). This will be my next target (priority to get Dopesheet working first, then F-Curve editor - i.e. old IPO Editor)
* I've had to put in large chunks of XXX sandboxing for old animation system code all around the place. This will be cleaned up in due course, as some places need special review.
In particular, the particles and sequencer code have far too many manual calls to calculate + flush animation info, which is really bad (this is a 'please explain yourselves' call to Physics coders!).
- Weightpaint back (CTRL+TAB or menu)
Also weightpaint is sortof non-modal, allowing to use all existing
hotkeys while in paint mode. Only leftmouse is overridden.
- Made vpaint and wpaint entirely local, stored in scene (and saved!)
- Small bugfix (also in 2.48): on weightpaint mode, all armature objects
in 3d window were drawing as active poses. Now only the armature
deformer is.
Nice point for the UI agenda: are paint modes on ACTION mouse? Only then
you can combine it with SELECT mouse...
* Compiling fixes for RNA - removed duplicate RNA wrapping for posechannels, removed some irrelevant code, and fixed some errors.
* Commented out/removed some evil old stuff from pose-code
Cleanup:
- Makefile was using confused link order, now all intern and
and extern libs are put after blender and editor libs
- Old stubs.c in editors/screen removed. The leftover python
stubs calls were moved to python module.
Put back Armature/Pose code, including 'heat weight'.
I've added reeb.h to get things compile, but Martin will
cleanup files and put back?
Now where to put all vertexgroup code.... I guess mesh?
Note for msvc: yep, another new dir to add! :)
