1a067c668c Patch #22855: Replace existing pose in poselib: put frame+name in properties, not only frame
Submitted by: Torsten Rupp (rupp)

Thanks Torsten for the patch. Previously, replacing poses would name them all "Pose".

8bf6e2d09c Auto Keyframing:
Made 'PoseLib', 'Pose Paste', and 'Transforms' use the active KeyingSet instead of a hardcoded one if there is an active KeyingSet and the 'Only Insert for Keying Set' option is enabled in the User Prefs.

Also, made sure that for transforms, the active KeyingSet is provided with the data being modified instead of having them retrieve this from the context (which may miss a few items).

---

While making the changes for pose paste, made pasting poses not destroy the existing properties on the bones if the buffer bones didn't have any properties to replace the old ones with. IMO, this seems a bit too destructive if they don't get replaced, but perhaps in some cases not removing causes some problems with bad poses?

ea4a987fd4 == Massive Keying Sets Recode ==
After a few days of wrong turns and learning the finer points of RNA-type-subclassing the hard way, this commit finally presents a refactored version of the Keying Sets system (now version 2) based on some requirements from Cessen.

For a more thorough discussion of this commit, see
http://sites.google.com/site/aligorith/keyingsets_2.pdf?attredirects=0&d=1

------

The main highlight of this refactor is that relative Keying Sets have now been recoded so that Python callbacks are run to generate the Keying Set's list of paths everytime the Keying Set is used (to insert or delete keyframes), allowing complex heuristics to be used to determine whether a property gets keyframed based on the current context. These checks may include checking on selection status of related entities, or transform locks.

Built-In KeyingSets have also been recoded, and moved from C and out into Python. These are now coded as Relative Keying Sets, and can to some extent serve as basis for adding new relative Keying Sets. However, these have mostly been coded in a slightly 'modular' way which may be confusing for those not so familiar with Python in general. A usable template will be added soon for more general usage.

Keyframing settings (i.e. 'visual', 'needed') can now be specified on a per-path basis now, which is especially useful for Absolute Keying Sets, where control over this is often beneficial.

Most of the places where Auto-Keyframing is performed have been tidied up for consistency. I'm sure quite a few issues still exist there, but these I'll clean up over the next few days.

92927e5f7d Pose Tools Cleanup:
Moved some of the generic code used to determine the F-Curves linked to PoseChannel transforms (as used by the Pose Sliding tools) into a separate file, in preparation for migration of PoseLib tools to this system too. This should make it easier to add some useful new functionality to the PoseLib browsing system (pending in a later commit).

fb7878a2c2 PROP_ENUM_NO_CONTEXT flag for rna properties, forcing enum item functions to be passed a null context (to return non-contextual items).
This is set on keymap item operator properties and macro definition operator properties to make them non-contextual (since the context at definition time is most likely not the same then at execution time, it's better to have all options visible).

This removes some more errors in keymap export and import.

This commit also sanitize some enum item function, making sure they can cope with null context and have usable defaults in that case.

- duplicate and copy_armature support.
- keep the draw flag, renamed to BONE_DRAW_ACTIVE, only use for openGL drawing.

Note: it may be better to allow active/unselected as with objects.

6e43a69a8d Bugfix #19576: Auto keyframing does not record rotations on object level animation
The hardcoded paths for rotation keyframes on objects got broken by my commits to rename the rotation properties. I've taken this opportunity to recode the auto-keyframing code here to use the builtin keyingsets instead of going through and manually calling insert_keyframe(), thus preventing this problem in future.

8ab24bb2c2 2.5 - Pose Enhancement Tools
This commit restores the 'Relax Pose' tool, and also introduces two others: 'Push Pose' and 'Pose Breakdowner'.
Be aware that this commit is just the initial starting point, with some parts yet to be done.

A short description of these tools follows:
* Relax Pose (Alt-E) - makes the current pose more like the poses on either side of it
* Push Pose (Ctrl-E) - exaggerates the current pose
* Breakdowner (Shift-E)[not working yet] - when this works, it will allow for interactive selection of a good in-between pose to act as a breakdown.

Todo's:
* Connect up the 'percentage' slider in the operator settings to allow these effects to be dialed in/out, exaggerating/relaxing/moveing-between-keyframes by varying degrees until the desired effect is reached.
* Allow these effects to be interactively dialed in/out. The idea is to use the mouse to interactively set the percentage slider value initially, then use the percentage slider to tweak later.
* Figure out why breakdown breaks down

854ea35a24 2.5: Handlers are now evaluated in a different order, fixing some
issues like Shift+R (repeat last) not giving capital R in the text
editor. There is also new modal handler list at the window level,
and the API call will always add it to that one now, since modal
handlers were not used in other levels.

The order used to be:
* window modal + keymap
* area modal + keymap
* region modal + keymap

Now it is:
* window modal
* region keymap
* area keymap
* window keymap

Notifiers
---------

Various fixes for wrong use of notifiers, and some new notifiers
to make things a bit more clear and consistent, with two notable
changes:

* Geometry changes are now done with NC_GEOM, rather than
  NC_OBJECT|ND_GEOM_, so an object does need to be available.
* Space data now use NC_SPACE|ND_SPACE_*, instead of data
  notifiers or even NC_WINDOW in some cases. Note that NC_SPACE
  should only be used for notifying about changes in space data,
  we don't want to go back to allqueue(REDRAW..).

Depsgraph
---------

The dependency graph now has a different flush call:

DAG_object_flush_update(scene, ob, flag)
is replaced by:
DAG_id_flush_update(id, flag)

It still works basically the same, one difference is that it now
also accepts object data (e.g. Mesh), again to avoid requiring an
Object to be available. Other ID types will simply do nothing at
the moment.

I made some guidelines for how/when to do which kinds of updates
and notifiers. I can't specify totally exact how to make these
decisions, but these are basically the guidelines I use. So, new

169a87cb0b 2.5 - Optimisations for Keyframe Drawing in DopeSheet
Keyframes are now prepared for drawing by being added to a binary-tree structure instead of using insertion-sort on a Double-Linked List. This gives rather significant improvements on a few bad cases (*).

I've implemented a basic Red-Black Tree whose nodes/data-structures can also be used as a simple Double-Linked List (ListBase) for this purpose. The implementation of this tree currently does not have support for removing individual nodes, since such capabilities aren't needed yet.

Stats (using keyframes from an imported .bvh animation file):
* When only the keyframes are drawn (i.e. long keyframes are not identified), the time needed to draw the DopeSheet region 10 times went down from 4000ms to about 300ms.
* When long keyframes are considered as well, the same test has gone from 6000ms to 3000ms. There is still a bottleneck there that I haven't been able to remove yet (an attempt at this made the runtimes go through the roof - 32000 ms for the test done here).

Assorted Notes:
* Added missing headers for some files
* Fixed profiling flags for mingw. There was an extra space which prevented the sound-code from compiling.

79134a54b9 2.5: X11
* Cursor grabbing is now done only if the OPTYPE_BLOCKING flag
  is set for the operator, since for e.g. render it should not
  block.

c1f3b86f86 NLA SoC: Cleanup of Keyframe Drawing code for DopeSheet
* Removed the glaMapping stuff in favour of remapping the keyframes manually. The old code was causing some mess, and not really working well for the DopeSheet with various mappings being used.

* Fixed NLA-mapped selection in DopeSheet. Clicking on individual keyframes should now work ok. More testing required though.

* Keyframes in DopeSheet are now drawn fully using OpenGL (instead of icons). They look less tactile now, but this may be compensated with in terms of speed? Previously I disabled this type of drawing due to issues with some cards. Enabled again for now, but mainly because I couldn't get the icons to line up nicely in screenspace...

* Borderselect in DopeSheet. I've had a look at issues with it selecting the wrong channel's keyframes. The issues don't seem to be solved yet though... will look again tomorrow.

46b91bf162 UI:
* Added some properties of uiLayout that can be set. I've added

    the buttons inside a layout.

* Also some function renames.

b4d46e5ded UI: Layout Engine
* Buttons are now created first, and after that the layout is computed.
  This means the layout engine now works at button level, and makes it
  easier to write templates. Otherwise you had to store all info and
  create the buttons later.
* Added interface_templates.c as a separate file to put templates in.
  These can contain regular buttons, and can be put in a Free layout,
  which means you can specify manual coordinates, but still get nested
  correct inside other layouts.

* API was changed to allow better nesting. Previously items were added
  in the last added layout specifier, i.e. one level up in the layout
  hierarchy. This doesn't work well in always, so now when creating things
  like rows or columns it always returns a layout which you have to add
  the items in. All py scripts were updated to follow this.

* Computing the layout now goes in two passes, first estimating the
  required width/height of all nested layouts, and then in the second
  pass using the results of that to decide on the actual locations.

* Enum and array buttons now follow the direction of the layout, i.e.
  they are vertical or horizontal depending if they are in a column or row.
* Color properties now get a color picker, and only get the additional
  RGB sliders with Expand=True.
* File/directory string properties now get a button next to them for
  opening the file browse, though this is not implemented yet.
* Layout items can now be aligned, set align=True when creating a column,
  row, etc.
* Buttons now get a minimum width of one icon (avoids squashing icon
  buttons).

* Moved some more space variables into Style.

f2e40f7234 2.5 PoseLib/KeyingSets bugfixes:
* Replaced a quicky hack needed to get PoseLib working with a proper new group-naming option for KeyingSets. Now, all builtin KeyingSets will use the name of the data (i.e. Object or PoseChannel) as the name of the group new channels are added to

* Fixed a bug with LocRotScale builtin KeyingSet, which meant that scale keyframes were not getting added.

* TAB key (toggle original pose) now works again. Previously, events were flying past too quickly.

1680f5f2b0 PoseLib: Fixed lingering bugs with Browsing (Ctrl-L)
* Bug with confirming was due to mixed up order for events handling and updates for drawing. Now events are handled before relevant updates are done for drawing, since these only get called when an event occurs.

* View manipulations work again, and in a much nicer way thanks to the OPERATOR_PASS_THROUGH flags :)

* Search seems to work much better now again too...

4c66f26230 PoseLib: Interactively browsing poses with Ctrl-L now mostly works again
This (most important part) of PoseLib now mostly works again. It even works for PoseLibs saved with the old animation system.

However, there are a few annoying bugs that need to be addressed still:
* When 'confirming' poses, the pose changes to the next one before PoseLib exits. I'm not quite sure where this is coming from yet...
* There are still a few minor bugs in the search-string code that will get ironed out
* AutoKeyframing doesn't work yet for this

c657313fee PoseLib: Operatorfied Add/Remove/Rename Tools
Changes:
* These still use the old hotkeys - Add (Shift-L), Remove (Alt-L), Rename (Ctrl-Shift-L)
* Outliner now shows PoseLib entry. Todo still is to use a different icon for this?

Notes:
* The code is now much simpler in many places :)
* Add and Rename operators require a string as input to set a new name for the Pose concerned. For now, I've just added a prop for this, which will hopefully be able to be filled in at some point.

2dbf73f6a0 2.5 PoseLib - First steps to get PoseLib to work in 2.5
* Cleaned up Keyframing API to get eliminate some of the problems faced during the original implementation of PoseLib, thus reducing code redundancy.
* Added new Animato evaluation functions specifically for use by PoseLib.
* Replaced parts of PoseLib code which relied on old animation system to the equivalent code for Animato. Notice the much cleaner + saner + compact code!

Next step is to operatorfy the PoseLib tools (while maintaining possibility for an API to some things) :)

* Action and Graph editors now display the name of the Action concerned (for 'Action' folder channels), making it easier to tell which AnimData blocks are sharing the same actions
* Added some code to make relative KeyingSets (converted from absolute ones) work better.
