... or carnidal interpolation with only 2 color stops.

This was triggering an incorrect path due to missing optimisation cases.
Just fall back to the unoptimized case fixes the assert.

Blender is the free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline-modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing, motion tracking and video editing.
