Short description of error
I reported this a couple of weeks ago and received email from Pratik Borhade with link to recent builds: https://builder.blender.org/download/daily. I used the link to install Intel 3.6.7 and have the same error message selecting import AutoCAD DXF file. Once the error message appears, there is no option to import a DXF file. The screenshot of the error message:

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Selected Add-on Import-Export AutoAD DXF Format (.dxf)
Select File/Import and immediately get error message that prevents further action on import.
[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]

You should continue to use your other bug #105080 instead of filing a duplicate issue. Please post your follow-up information in the other bug and also provide a small example .dxf file as that is what will be necessary to investigate the issue further.
