when 2 objects have the same position, rotation and scale one of the 2 turns black

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open General template
  • Add new cube

Render in Cycles

Cubes are black.

Not sure what do you mean by material maps. Can you upload sample .blend file?

If you are talking about this, then I'm not sure how the interaction of two quantum clones should be physically :) . In a sense, if the beam is reflected from both, then this is no longer correct. Fortunately, since we are talking about float coordinates, you need to specifically make them clones in order to get such an artifact.

I think this can be reproduced not only in cycles, but they were taken as an example. I hope I didn't miss.

This is certainly the same issue described in #96475 (Overlapping geometry shows black faces on Cycles Blender 3.1 (Ray Tracing Precision)).
Therefore:
