Space Mouse not working properly #107926

System Information
Operating system: Mac OS Ventura 13.3.1 (a)
Graphics card: Apple M1 Max

Blender Version
Broken: 3.5.0
Worked: 3.0.0

Short description of error
No buttons of the Spacemouse work anymore.
Everything worked with Blender 3.0.0 and 3D Connexion Driver 10.7.0.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Install latest 3D Connexion Driver 10.8.0.
  2. Set up some buttons in 3DxWare 10 like:
    a. "Button 1" = Keystroke "Tab".
    b. "Button 2" = Keystroke "1".
    c. "Button 3" = Keystroke "2".
  3. Start Blender.
  4. Try to switch between Edit and Object mode with "Button 1":
    a. No Function.
  5. Try to switch between select Modes with "Buttons 2-3":
    a. No Function.
  6. Try to select more Objects with holding "shift" on Space Mouse:
    a. No Function.

I miss the combination so hard, it's impossible to work without my space mouse, I'm used to it for a decade. :(
The Space Mouse works fine in all other Programms, its an Blender Issue exclusively.

Additional Infos:
Sometimes restarting Blender multiple Times, re-installing it, fixes temporary the function of the basic Keys "shift, cmd, etc". The other buttons never work. They worked always in the past and still work in all other programs where I use the mouse.

@Sergey Can you check?

@Sergey Can you check?

I can indeed. Sounds similar to the #91319.

So are u aware of this issue? It’s been present since 3.0.0 and on the 3DConnexion Forums, devs say it’s not their fault. A lot of people are complaining there about it.
I always assumed it’s an 3Dconnexion issue, but that’s not the case. I even did an clean install of my whole Mac to check it. No effect. No functionality in Blender.

I really wish for an fix, i lost my fun with Blender since i can’t use my mouse anymore.

Can i support with any additional infos? Data? Whatever? I’ll do whatever helps to resolve the issue.

is there any way to know if there is an daily build available to test if the bug has been fixed? I don't know how this reporting system works. my first reported bug so far.

This report will be closed, if it fixed.
It confirmed currently just, fix hasn't proposed.

any news on this one? still not working, or even worse with most recent 3.6.1 version.
Not even the cmd, shift etc buttons are working. In the past I managed somehow to get them working after certain uninstall-install loops. but nope, the mouse has now zero functionality.

There are no news, unfortunately. As soon as there are news, we are replying in the reports.
