NDOF buttons no longer programmable with Blender commands #91319

System Information
Operating system: Windows 10
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

Blender Version
Broken: 2.93.4
Worked: 2.92

NDOF (3D Connexion Space Navigator) has two programable buttons which are programmed in the 3D Connexion software. The button settings have a dropdown where one can select a 'Blender' drop down which lists a number of possible Blender functions for that button. Now, none of them work. It appears that only the 'Blender' dropdown is not functioning. Other dropdowns still work, so I know the Space Navigator is operating well. I particularly use the 'Fit' option in the 'Blender' dropdown, but I tested others and none of the Blender functions work now.

They did in previous versions (2.92) Beginning in 2.93, there were other problems with the Space Navigator that I did not report, but they were fixed in 2.93.4. Now this new problem of being unable to program either of the two side buttons with any of the 'Blender' functions has appeared.

I contacted 3D Connexion Tech Support but they could find no solution. The problem appeared with the older device driver, but installing the newest driver did not solve the problem.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Error can be reproduced with Space Navigator and Blender 2.93.4

Thanks for Blender and all the time you spend perfecting it.

@ideasman42 Can you check this if you have the hardware?

Hopefully we are talking about the same Blender functions offered by the spacenav mouse.

In 2.92 I can not get any of those to work.
In 3.2beta the Undo works, but nothing else works.

So in a way can confirm the issue that the newer Blender has issues with those functions.
Although, I am not aware of what was in development since 2.92 in the area, and not sure who is handling those menus and functions.

Hm, so for you this is broken in 2.92 as well?
Not sure where "Undo" is mentioned in the report?

@PrototypeNM1 : could you check this maybe?

It is broken for be with 2.92, at least with the default configuration of buttons.
The Undo button is one of the default actions assigned to a button by the configuration tool of NDOF device.
