Statistics Viewport Overlay Showing Incorrect Value #110105

Operating system: Windows 11
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 1650

Blender Version
Broken: 3.6
Worked: Every other version I've used so far

Short description of error
While working in the viewport, the "Viewport Overlay: statistics (edges count)" glitches out and shows the wrong number. Sometimes being absurdly high. The image shows the main objects in my scene with the most geometry, mostly being 2k to 10k faces each. It gets a bit annoying when I can't see the right count. I'm not sure how to reproduce the error on command, but I'll keep looking!

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).
It happens mostly while I swap in and out of pose mode but then again, I'm not too sure. However, this is usually the last action I take before I notice. I'm sorry for the insufficient information, but I hope you find the problem.

Are you using a Subdivision surface here? And are you using GPU subdivision (it's on by default. Preferences -> Viewport -> Subdivision -> GPU Subdivision)?

Three of the objects in my scene use subdivision all of which are using Viewport subdivision levels of 3. And as of right now, the geometry count seems to be showing properly. GPU subdivision is checked on as well.

If this occurs with GPU subdivision it could be a duplicate of #105665. If the incorrect values occur with that unchecked then it might be a new issue.

The problem looks like it's the same, but the steps taken to reproduce it don't work when I try. I'll keep working and see if it occurs again and I'll leave the GPU subdivision checked for now.

I assume this is same as #105665
No activity for more than a week. As per the tracker policy we assume the issue is gone and can be closed.
