Dropping object name on existing object socket in node editor not working #110723
Operating system: Linux-5.17.15-76051715-generic-x86_64-with-glibc2.35 64 Bits, X11 UI
Graphics card: Quadro RTX 6000/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 515.48.07
Broken: version: 3.6.1, branch: blender-v3.6-release, commit date: 2023-07-21 12:59, hash:
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
Short description of error
using drag and drop from the outliner to the node editor does not work for existing object sockets
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
- create new object info node
- drag and drop any (other) object from the outliner onto the node's object input socket
I can confirm. Might be expected behavior when self object is added (but eye-dropper and UiList allows same object in name field)
On a first look, I only considered dropping self object but it seems I can not drag&drop any other object to object info node
Doesnt work for shader nodes either:
- create a
- drag and drop any object from the outliner onto the node's object input
Think this is more for the
User Interface module to handle (since it involves multiple dropboxes defined in
node_dropboxes). Seems once all drops fail from
node_dropboxes we dont actually get to the ones from
Will check on it a bit.
