Painting with Ctrl Left Mouse in the Image Editor doesn't respect selected secondary color #113323

System Information

Operating system: Windows 11 Pro 21H2
Graphics card: NVIDIA RTX 2080 Super

Blender Version

Working: Prior to 2.82
Broken: 2.82 onward

I can verify that the default binding to image paint with "Stroke Mode: Inverted" (using the secondary color) is Ctrl Left Mouse. This works as intended in the 3D Viewport using Texture Paint mode, but in the Image Editor using Paint mode it paints with the primary selected color instead of the secondary color.

Reproducing the Error

From a default blend file:

  • Create a cube
  • Plug an image texture into the base color of the cube's default shader
  • Switch to the Texture Paint workspace
  • Draw on the new texture in the Image Editor using the Left Mouse button. This should appear white.
  • Attempt to draw on the cube using Ctrl Left Mouse button. This should appear black, but instead appears white.

Oh, doh! Classic double effort, sorry for not finding the duplicate...
That fix there is even the absolute same, pity it has been lying around for a year...

Will merge that one with this report.
