Short description of error
Moving one of the bones to the new collection by selecting it and pressing the assign button doesnt work on todays buil.d

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Create a bone, add a new collection, duplicate the bone, try moving one of the bones to the new collection by selecting it and pressing the assign button

with the m shortcut it works, just not with assign from the panel

Hi, thanks for the report. Unable to confirm in current main and 4.0 build
From attached screenshot, it seems the selected bone is already part of both the "bone collections"
Also the warning message in task bar. Not a bug AFAICS.
Maybe share .blend file (if we're missing any step to trigger the bug here)?

Okay, so I think I didnt realize that bones can be part of multiple collections at the same time, so they where in both collections all the time thats why they wouldnt dissapear or be added to the second collection.
you can dismiss the bug

Yes, I mentioned that in my first comment: From attached screenshot, it seems the selected bone is already part of both the "bone collections"

Because in my video, I first removed bones from the bone collection "Bones.001" then assigned a single bone to the bone collection "Bones.001" :)

Closing since this is not a bug.
