Shadows are changing their sharpness toward edges of sharp angles.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Make default scene with cube
  • Add any long geometry like cylinder over the cube (to produce shadow)
  • Change rendering to EVEE Next
  • Make light that produce soft shadows like sun with 90° angle
  • Move cylinder toward the cube's edge(attached gif animation)

This is likely to be related to missing shadow tiles at object boundaries or tile LOD changes. This is something we need to fix.
