System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19045-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.6.0 NVIDIA 551.61

Blender Version
Broken: version: 4.1.0 Release Candidate, branch: blender-v4.1-release, commit date: 2024-03-16 18:44, hash: 714ebd6890c2
Worked: 4.0

Short description of error
Blender closes when the computer hibernates

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Have a Blender project open on Windows.
  • Put the computer in hibernate mode through the Windows start menu.
  • Turn on the computer several hours later.
  • Blender should have disappeared from the task bar.

That bug is weird. I struggled to reproduce it. However, every time that I put the computer in hibernate mode and turn it back on several hours later, I found out that my Blender project was not there anymore on the task bar.

For your information, if that could have an impact, my project is:

  • About 100 MB.
  • Cycles.
  • 3 windows. First on the main monitor. Second main window on the second monitor and render result on the second monitor.

Typically, I got this bug with the daily builds of version 4.1 during the last week. Normally, I work on my project during the day and I put my computer in hibernate mode at night. When I turned it back on the next day, this is when I realized Blender was on the task bar anymore. I tried to test and put it in hibernate mode and to turn it back on just after to test, but it was still present. I also saw the problem when putting the computer in hibernate mode for just a couple of hours during the day. Hibernate mode and time seem to create a bug.

I discovered this issue might be related to the BlenderKit add-on. In another bug report that I reported where Blender crashes, I discovered that enabling BlenderKit is a problem.
